The Ministry of Sports Development refutes the claim made by Ekene Adams, Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, regarding the allocation of budget for the upkeep of Kaduna State’s Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
This denial came after Adams voiced concerns about the perceived lack of genuine commitment from the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, towards advancing Nigeria’s sports development objectives.
Adams criticized the minister for what he perceived as insincerity, despite the committee’s efforts to foster a positive and cooperative relationship.
He questioned the rationale behind allocating funds for the renovation and maintenance of Ahmadu Bello Stadium in the 2024 budget, considering that the stadium had already been handed over to the Kaduna State Government.
