The Presidential Election Tribunal has rejected the pleas of the candidates of the Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar respectively for the live broadcast of its proceedings.
The tribunal in a unanimous judgment of all five justices said that there was no judicial policy to support the live broadcast of proceedings as canvassed by the two petitioners.
The petition was opposed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the legal team of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
