The Lagos State Police Command has clarified that they are still awaiting the autopsy report for the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Despite ongoing speculation, the 27-year-old’s cause of death remains undetermined since his passing on September 12 under contentious circumstances.
After demands for clarity, Mohbad’s body was exhumed from its Ikorodu burial site on September 21 for a thorough autopsy, which was declared concluded by the state police command on October 6. However, as of November 20, the spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed that they have not received the official report.
Addressing the prevailing rumors, Hundeyin emphasized the need for factual information, stating, “The autopsy report has not been given to us. Some people have been spreading rumors that it’s ready. It’s one thing for it to be ready, it’s another thing for it to be given to us officially – that we would receive and sign a copy that we have received it. So, we don’t work with rumors, we work with facts.”
