David Adedeji Adeleke OON, professionally known as Davido, was born on November 21, 1992. He is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, United States, Davido was raised in Lagos, Nigeria. His musical journey began as a member of the group KB International.

While pursuing a business administration degree at Oakwood University, Davido decided to drop out to focus on making beats and recording vocal references. His breakthrough came with the release of “Dami Duro,” the second single from his debut studio album, Omo Baba Olowo (2012). The album also featured hit singles like “Back When,” “Ekuro,” “Overseas,” “All of You,” “Gbon Gbon,” and “Feel Alright.”

In 2012, Davido received the Next Rated award at The Headies, marking a significant milestone in his career. Over the following years, he continued to release chart-topping singles, including “Gobe,” “One of a Kind,” “Skelewu,” “Aye,” “Tchelete (Goodlife),” “Naughty,” “Owo Ni Koko,” “The Sound,” and “The Money.”
