Polaris Bank, in partnership with Evolve Charity, has extended significant educational aid to public secondary schools in Imo State, emphasizing its commitment to advancing the education of young girls in Nigeria.
As part of its ongoing ‘Girl-Child Education Project’ and aligned with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework, Polaris Bank donated essential educational supplies to over 500 students at Akokwa High School, Iheme Memorial School, and National High School in Aro Ndi Uzoogu, Imo State.
The donation encompassed school uniforms, bags, sandals, and various writing materials, aiming to empower and bolster the girl-child through education. This initiative coincides with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) International Day of the Girl (IDG), reflecting Polaris Bank’s commitment to fostering positive change within local communities.
During the event, Nwokoro Ifeyinwa, Business Development Manager at Polaris Bank’s Urualla Branch, emphasized the transformative power of education. “In the pursuit of knowledge, we unlock boundless opportunities. Supporting the education of the girl-child is not just a noble cause but also a strategic investment in shaping future leaders and change-makers,” she stated.
