A suspected burglar, aged 34, encountered an unfortunate mishap when attempting a break-in at a residence in Watsonia, KZN, South Africa. During the early hours of Monday, November 20, 2023, the individual fell through the ceiling, sustaining injuries to his right leg.
The homeowner contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Centre upon discovering the intruder in one of the bedrooms. Responding officers reached the scene around 07:57.
As per the homeowner’s account, he had briefly left the property but returned to retrieve a forgotten item. Upon re-entering, he caught sight of the burglar attempting to break in through the roof. Suddenly, the ceiling collapsed, leading to the intruder’s fall.
The suspected burglar suffered a suspected fracture in his right leg due to the incident.
