ENFORCEMENT OF 24-HOUR CURFEW IMPOSED BY KANO STATE GOVERNMENT

…Residents Advised That Violators Will Be Apprehended and Prosecuted

  1. In accordance with the constitutional responsibility of the Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with relevant internal security and law enforcement agencies, to maintain peace and order in the state, the Kano State Police Command has devised strategies to ensure compliance with this objective and calls upon the citizens of the state for their confidence and support.
  2. Going forward, the residents of Kano State are informed that a joint security operation has been deployed throughout the state, including its entry and exit points, to enforce and strictly adhere to the 24-hour curfew directive as communicated by the State Government through a letter with Reference No: K/SEC/H/435/T.1/153, dated September 20, 2023. This curfew will be in effect from 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, until 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Anyone found in violation of this order will be apprehended and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
  3. In conclusion, I express my gratitude to the peace-loving people of the State and urge them to continue abiding by the law, as it is in the best interest of all of us to work together in maintaining peace and order in the State.
