Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the Head of Service for Lagos State, has officially resigned from his current position. He will now be dedicating his efforts to his new appointment as Principal Secretary to President Bola Tinubu.

Muri-Okunola conveyed his decision to the state’s civil servants in a letter issued on Monday, marking the end of his civil service career on September 29, 2023. He has also notified the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, of his resignation.

In his message to the civil servants, he expressed gratitude for the fulfilling journey and experience he had during his tenure, one that he will cherish for a lifetime. He highlighted his new role in The Presidency, emphasizing his commitment to assisting and contributing to the realization of President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
