“Force PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi Assures Investigation into Mohbad’s Petition Over Threat to Life by Sam Larry and Others”

The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has affirmed their commitment to investigate the alleged police negligence regarding the petition submitted by the late singer MohBad. The petition, dated June 27, 2023, accuses music promoter Samson Erinfolami Balogun, also known as Sam Larry, and 15 others of threatening the lives of MohBad and another artist, Zlatan Ibile, during a video shoot. It is alleged that the group, armed and hostile, disrupted the shoot, causing damage exceeding N5 million to equipment and physically assaulting the deceased, who narrowly escaped with injuries.

The petition pleaded, “Sir, I call on your good office to protect my life from the aforementioned individuals and hold them accountable.”

Sharing a copy of the petition on his social media handle, ACP Adejobi stated, “We will thoroughly investigate the alleged police negligence in this case.”
