On September 18, the Lagos State Police Command inaugurated a 13-member committee tasked with uncovering both the immediate and underlying factors behind the demise of the artist known as Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Mohbad passed away under contentious circumstances on Tuesday, September 12.
During the panel’s launch, the State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, flanked by members of Mohbad’s family, appealed to the public to provide any information that could assist in the investigation.
Commissioner Owohunwa emphasized that all available evidence, including videos, would be employed during the inquiry, and the investigation would not be confined to specific individuals. He also asserted that the command had the authority to apprehend individuals worldwide, stating, “Wherever you are in this world, do not forget that we have access to Interpol.”
Furthermore, the police chief confirmed that all individuals connected to the unfortunate incident would be identified and apprehended. The panel is anticipated to deliver its findings within a span of two weeks
