In Ghana, a 22-year-old houseboy, identified as John Alister, has been apprehended for fatally stabbing his employer and making off with some of her possessions, including her car.

John Alister was arrested on Thursday, September 14, following the incident that occurred a few days earlier. He had been employed as a household assistant for just a month before he committed the crime.

Tragically, on Friday, September 8, Alister fatally stabbed his employer, Afia Ahenkan, and fled the scene with her car, phone, and various other items. He even used the victim’s phone to impersonate her, engaging in conversations and sending messages to her friends and acquaintances.

During police interrogation, the young man confessed to the murder and admitted to selling the stolen car and phone. Afia Ahenkan, the victim, was the wife of Osei Kofi’s son, a former Black Stars legend.

It has been reported that John Alister had a history of criminal activities, including allegedly stealing over GHC 7,000 and four mobile phones from a previous employer in East Legon earlier in July this year. After that incident, he had remained off the authorities’ radar until his recent involvement in the death of his new employer.
