On Tuesday, the Adamawa State House of Assembly granted Governor Ahmadu Fintiri the approval to appoint 50 special advisers. The decision was made following a letter from Governor Fintiri requesting permission to appoint the advisers. This approval is seen as a significant step for the new government of Governor Fintiri, who has only appointed a press secretary thus far. Since the announcement of Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou as press secretary during his inauguration dinner on May 29, Governor Fintiri has been relatively inactive. This inactivity was attributed to the loss of his cousin, Malama Laraba Mamman, who tragically passed away in a road accident while en route to his inauguration.
