The photos were seen in an adidas store in New York and the biggest difference is the collar from this year’s shirt has been dropped.
The black stripes on the shoulder remain while the main red of the shirt has been given a crackled pattern.
The Team Viewer sponsor also is still on the shirt despite some being convinced that if Sheikh Jassim’s Qatari takeover goes through, that will change.
Other United fans were not convinced by adidas’ design while another section were blown away.
One fan replied on social media: “Size of that sponsor is an eyesore.”
And another wrote: “Looks good. 2002-2004 vibes.”
A third said: “When does our deal with Adidas expire??? ‘Cause what is that.”
“Class,” one fan put succinctly.

A fifth wrote: “I can get behind this.”
Another added: “Nice shirt will look better as short sleeves but why have they made the sponsor like 30 percent larger.”
United will be playing in the Champions League next year after missing out this season.
