Tropical General Investment Group (TGI Group) has joined African Business Coalition for Health (ABCHealth).

Chairman and President, Dangote Industries Limited and Co-Founder of ABCHealth, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, hailed TGI’s membership of the coalition.

Dangote said: “There is a vital relationship between health, economic growth and development in Africa – healthy populations live longer and are more productive – therefore, improving access to quality health is an important aspect of development.

Co-Founder and Chairman of ABCHealth, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, described TGI Group’s entry as an indication the coalition ABCHealth is building enables business leaders and philanthropists to have a platform that helps them make sustainable investments in health that transform economies and people.

“We are delighted to be joining a strong team of people and businesses who have done a lot for health in Africa but also recognise that more can be done. Businesses have a responsibility to society and philanthropists abound, therefore, a collaboration is a welcome development”, Savara added.

Mories Atoki, chief executive officer of ABCHealth praised TGI. He said: “TGI Group joining the coalition is a deepening of their commitment to improving health outcomes and a strong indicator that businesses understand their roles as partners for development. We call on more businesses to join our coalition and be part of the move to ensure quality health and healthcare for Africans.”
