Arsenal sent scouts to France to watch Lens trio Seko Fofana, Kevin Danso and Lois Openda last weekend.

The Gunners’ transfer plans are in full flow, with Edu and Mikel Arteta working closely to identify targets that will help their side challenge for the Premier League title again next season.

Midfield is their top priority this summer, and Seko Fofana, who G9IJA claim they scouted last weekend, has been on Arsenal‘s radar for quite some time.

Arsenal are expected to be very active in this summer’s transfer window.

They have been linked with plenty of players already, and it is no secret that their priority is to sign two new midfielders before the start of next season.

Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo are reportedly their top targets, while Romeo Lavia has also been linked. They will all cost a fortune this summer, which is probably why Arsenal are keeping an eye on other options.

Lens’ Seko Fofana, who has been sensational in the Ligue 1 for a couple of years now, could well be that player, while his two talented teammates – Danso and Openda – may also be of interest to the Gunners.

Fofana was previously a part of Manchester City’s books and his playing style was compared to Sky Blues legend Yaya Toure back then.

TBR View:

Arsenal will definitely bring one new midfielder in this summer.

Declan Rice is the man Mikel Arteta wants at the Emirates, while Moises Caicedo would also be an excellent addition for the Gunners in the middle of the park.

If they can’t get either, it won’t be a surprise at all to see the Gunners consider a move for Fofana, who has been fantastic in the Ligue 1 for some time now.

However, he is 28 already, which may put Arteta off.
