Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has directed contractors handling ongoing various projects for his administration to speed up work and ensure prompt completion.
The governor, who gave the directive while inspecting ongoing projects in Katsina metropolis, also inspected the Sulma Dam expansion project in Kafur Local Government Area.
The dam, which is expected to reserve over four million cubic litres of water, is being distilled ahead of the rainy season
The governor asked the contractor handling the two- kilometre Kafur – Mahuta road to hasten the completion of the project.
Masari, who was conducted round by the Permanent Secretary State Ministry of Works, Engineer Abdurrahman Usman Zango, also spotted the labourers spreading asphalt on some portions of the road.
Briefing the governor, the Project Manager, Mother- Cat Nigeria Limited, assured of more commitment to ensure speedy completion of the project which is now at an appreciable level.
