Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign, on Wednesday said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should not have declared Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the February 25 election “because he did not secure 25 percent of the votes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Bwala, in a post on his verified Twitter handle, vowed that Tinubu “would be the third African president whose victory would be upturned, and a fresh election ordered”.

Even when @inecnigeria decided to rely on the widely contested and flawed results (which have now been proved by results on INEC IREV ), the chairman of INEC ought not to have declared Tinubu as winner because he did not secure 25 percent of the votes in the FCT.
