The funeral of Oreoluwa Aina, a 28-year-old member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who died in a train accident in Lagos, took place over the weekend.
The tragic incident claimed the lives of six people, including Aina, after a train collided with a Lagos State Government staff bus on March 9, 2023, in the PWD area of Ikeja.
Family members, colleagues, and well-wishers were present to mourn her loss and bid her a final farewell.
Aina’s burial was an emotional event with tears and wailing from all those present.
The NYSC, which is a scheme set up to promote unity among Nigerian youths, has also been hit hard by the loss of one of its members.
Meanwhile Investigation is ongoing over the cause of the accident and the Lagos State Government has promised to take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
