Deputy Campaign Coordinator Nura Audu, who is also the Yobe North Zonal Social Media Strategist for Bashir Machina’s campaign team, expressed disappointment over the Supreme Court’s recognition of Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the legitimate senatorial candidate for the zone.

Audu, a strong backer of Machina, deemed the verdict as unprecedented and a setback for justice and fairness in Nigeria’s political landscape.

In a phone interview with newsmen, Audu called the Supreme Court’s decision a “daylight robbery” and very unfortunate in the political history of Nigeria.”

“Tension is high now,” he said, explaining further, he continued, “Ahmed Lawan neither obtained and filled the Senatorial aspiration form nor contested in the primaries.”

When asked about his team’s next move, Audu stated, “As Muslims, we believe in destiny; we will wait for what our leader would say before knowing what to do.”

Despite being present in the courtroom during the verdict, Audu assured that Machina’s supporters will remain loyal and steadfast.
