Rivers Diaspora Network (RDN), a coalition of Rivers State natives, has publicly endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Pastor Tonye Cole, for the upcoming March 11, 2023 Governorship Election in the state.

Comprised of professionals, social groups, and ethnic groups from across the globe, including North America, Europe, Asia, and South America, the members of RDN believe that Tonye Cole is the ideal candidate to hold the highest political office in Rivers State starting May 29, 2023.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Pastor Tonye Cole, has been publicly endorsed by Rivers Diaspora Network (RDN) for the upcoming March 11, 2023 Governorship Election in Rivers State. The decision was reached after a virtual meeting of RDN’s stakeholders held in Maryland, United States of America.

A 10-paragraph communique, signed by Sobere Opusunju, the United Kingdom coordinator of RDN, and Chief Abani Iloni, who joined the meeting from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, stated that the group decided to back Pastor Cole due to his strong commitment towards the development of Rivers State.

Citing his demonstrated passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to serve the people of Rivers State, the group believes that if elected, Cole will establish a new governance system that will positively transform the state for the benefit of all its citizens.

The communique added that “Rivers State needs a leader whose personality inspires peace, away from the overweening and combative style of leadership witnessed in the last seven-and-a-half years. It is time to put one of our best forwards,”

The endorsement of Pastor Tonye Cole by the Rivers Diaspora Network (RDN) comes only a month after Cole met with members of RDN in Washington DC, during his visit to the United States of America, where he was invited to attend the USA-Africa Leadership Summit hosted by President Joe Biden.
