Former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega, has expressed fear over the results of 2023 election due to what is happening in the Nigerian political field.
According to Jega, he is very afraid of how the election result will be.
He made this known during his speech at a church meeting held by Electoral Hub in Abuja on Wednesday.
According to Jega, considering how politics is being discussed in the states and burning of INEC offices, scares him.
Despite his fears, Jega reiterated his confidence that Nigeria will have a peaceful election and peaceful country.
“I’m very nervous about the election results.” But you’ll see people like me who I’ll call good hope for the future of our country.
“So I hope that despite the negativity we see, the negativity that many of our so called politicians do, we hope that people will stand up and do the right thing to vote.” May we have good results in 2023,” said Jega.
