Operatives of Ijora Badia Division of the Lagos State Police Command has arrested four suspects who specialize in stealing vehicles and dismantling them for onward sales as spare parts.
According to the State’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hudeyin, the suspect, were arrested at Iganmu under bridge, following a painstaking investigation after a Toyota Camry was snatched from a victim at gun point .
“Hudeyin said “ The Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command swung into action on the 29th of September 2022 after a victim , Sandra ( surname withheld) made a report that her Toyota Camry Car was snatched at gunpoint at igunmu in Surulere, Lagos.
“Following a painstaking investigation, the Police department were able to apprehend four suspects.
“The suspects involved are: Alafia Afiwajuomo, Ganiyu Tajudeen, Olamilekan Hassan and Lucky Esomojumi.
“After the apprehension of the suspects, the suspect led the Police department to the location of the car .
“The car was in the process of being dismantled before it was recovered by the police.
“Parts of the cars suspected to have been dismantled and sold as spare parts were also recovered at the scene.
“Suspects have been charged to court. “
