The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has described the Christians Association of Nigeria as a satanic association.

Ayodele said this in a sermon in the church over the position of the Lagos State chapter of the body on the 2023 polls.

The Eagle Online recalls that the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the CAN, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, had said that God will not forgive them if they do not support the bid of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2023 elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Eagle Online also recalls that the national leadership of the CAN had disowned the APC for the Muslim-Muslim ticket it is presenting for the 2023 elections.

Both Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, are Muslims.

Reacting to the position of Adegbite in a video of the sermon obtained by The Eagle Online, Primate Ayodele said: “I am not here to respond to the CAN Chairman, Lagos State Chairman’s press interview, but he has said that God will punish CAN if they do not support Tinubu.

“I want to say Amen.

“That CAN, God will punish you.

“CAN Chairman and CAN as a body, God will punish all you.

“If you supported Muslim/Muslim ticket, I’m not here to respond to you, God has not said I should go ahead, but I am just telling you that if some leaders, or whatever Christian leaders – I don’t believe in CAN because CAN is political, CAN is not a body of Christ, CAN is not a body of Holy Spirit, it is corruption that formed CAN, CAN is association of bad leaders, Christians leader.

“Let me just give you that as tip of warning: that CAN chairman, I don’t know what your name is, you are spiritually blindfolded, that is the reason why you made that pronouncement.

“I have not responded as such, but you have to withdraw that statement because God will begin to chase you from various cardinals of the world because that statement is a satanic.

“So CAN Chairman and the body as a whole in Lagos State, you are satanic association.

“That is my statement for this morning.”
