Akin Alabi has highlighted the “discrimination” against other Nigerian tribes that do not fall under the three major tribes.

The Nigerian politician explained that when he was a child, he thought the only tribes in Nigeria were Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa.

He shared an encounter he recently had at a political meeting where a man from Bayelsa was introduced as Igbo. He also shared a screenshot from a lady saying that everyone automatically assumes she is Yoruba because she is from Ondo State, but she is actually Ijaw.

He said the “Northern, Eastern,  and Western region governments indirectly propagated this myth” and condemned the discrimination against other minor tribes.
