All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Plateau South have endorsed Governor Simon Lalong for the senatorial ticket.

Arising from a meeting in Jos with Gov Lalong in attendance, the stakeholders from the three local government areas of Quan-Pan, Shendam, Mikang, appealed to Lalong to accede to the demand to represent them at the National Assembly.

Chairman of the Forum, Sir Joseph Ari, while expressing the position of the meeting, held the entire stakeholders, including youth and women groups and other members of the party, were well pleased with the sterling performance of the Governor who he claimed has restored relative peace to Plateau.

According to him, Lalong has achieved massive construction of schools and hospitals across the 17 local government areas as well as complete other projects that have direct bearing on the populace.

He moved that the Governor be adopted as the party’s candiddate.

The motion was seconded Rt Hon Naanlong Daniel, the Majority Leader of Plateau Assembly.

Ari said: “Gov Lalong has impacted positively on the lives of our people and we call on all lovers of peace to support him irrespective of party affiliation in other to benefit from his wealth of experience and varied contacts.”

Ari, who is the Director General, Industrial Training Fund (ITF), also extended an invitation to all supporters and well wishers of the Governor to grace the formal presentation of the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to him on Saturday in Shendam, headquarters of Plateau South Senatorial Zone.
