Newslodge reports that the latest attack occurred just days after the alleged invasion of an agricultural settlement in the city of Oro-Ago in the local government area where a life was lost.
The victim, Ibrahim, was horribly murdered in Ago-Are with the attackers still at large.
He said the latest attack occurred Thursday night when unknown gunmen in large numbers broke into the rancher’s premises and left him in the pool of blood.
Babawale, the deceased brother said, was killed earlier this year similarly in the Ajegunle area of Are-Ago, the Ifelodun local government area of the state.
“This time, a Fulani shepherd known simply as Ibrahim or Ibro, was attacked and hacked to death by the assailants,” the spokesman said.
He said the NSCDC and other law enforcement agencies have launched a manhunt to arrest the perpetrators of the criminal act, promising that no stone will be left unturned to bring them to justice.
According to Babawale, the incident has been reported at the division’s police station while efforts are being made to arrest the masterminds and prevent further attacks on the community.
