This is contained in a statement signed by the Command Spokesman, Mr. Babawale Afolabi, and made available to journalists in Ilorin on Friday evening.
According to the statement, the unfortunate incident occurred a few days after an alleged invasion of the agricultural settlement in Oro Ago, allegedly by some armed men, where one person was killed.
“This Fulani shepherd, simply known as Ibrahim or Ibro, was attacked and hacked to death by the assailants,” he said.
He said the attack took place on September 30, when unknown gunmen in large numbers allegedly broke into the rancher’s premises and left him in the pool of blood.
The spokesperson said the deceased brother had lost his life in early 2021, in the same address as the victim.
He ensured that the NSCDC, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, would arrest the perpetrators and ensure prosecution after the investigations.
