Nigerian publisher, Betty Irabor has revealed that at the time she decided to start Genevieve Magazine, she was told that most magazines fail in Nigeria.
She said this didn’t stop her from trying and keeping at it even when things became tough.
She encouraged her followers not to be discouraged by the failure rate.
She tweeted: “When I launched Genevieve in 2003, I was constantly reminded of d fatality rate & statistics of failed magazines. It unnerved me much but I became more determined to be 1 of d few that survived. See ehn, It doesn’t matter how many have failed b4 u. U may just be d game changer.”
