Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho told Jack Grealish on Instagram that he is ‘learning’ from the Aston Villa playmaker.
Whilst Aston Villa fans’ worst nightmare became reality on Sunday, when their star performer was confirmed as injured before their defeat to Leicester City, his fellow England international was ripping it up in Germany.
Dortmund recorded a comfortable 4-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Schalke on Saturday, with Sancho getting on the scoresheet.
After the game, the versatile attacker expressed his delight at Dortmund’s win over their rivals on Instagram, with a number of Premier League players praising him in the comments section.
After Grealish wrote ‘skipdawgggg’ added with clapping emojis to Sancho, the Bundesliga player wrote in response: ‘Learning from you bro’.
Ross Barkley also commented on Sancho’s performance, as he simply wrote ‘on fire’, with the likes of Declan Rice, Reiss Nelson and Ezri Konsa also issuing their praise.
Nonetheless, with the internationals set to return next month, Grealish will be hoping to join Sancho on the St George’s Park turf.
There is a slight worry from the Villa supporters that their expert-ball carrier will be out for longer than many think, and if that’s the case, then it will be a body blow to all at Villa Park.
But it also provides the rest of the team the chance to prove that they can do the business without their rising star
