The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on Thursday, launched a comprehensive taxpayer database and payment portal called Ekiti Revenue Automation System.

A statement titled ‘Ekiti State blazes the trail with a one-stop-shop revenue automation platform: Ekiti Revenue Automation System’, said it was developed for the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service.

Part of the statement read, “The government of Ekiti State embarked on a silent revenue reform with the signing of the Ekiti State Board of Internal Revenue Law on October 16, 2019 as part of its one year anniversary.

“With that law, the government commenced the process of reforming the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service.

“As part of the reform process, the state government engaged CSDC Consulting Enterprise Solutions as the Global Revenue and ICT Consultant to bring about the accomplishment of the desired turnaround of IGR in the State.”

The statement said ERAS was a comprehensive internal revenue automation platform that acts as a one-stop shop for all activities related to revenue administration in the state.

It added that it ‘starts with the taxpayer registration, EkTIN generation, bill/notice of assessment generation, e-filing, multiple payments platform, e-receipting’.
