Prince William and Kate Middleton have held their first audience since the start of lockdown as they greeted the President and First Lady of Ukraine.

The royal couple, both 38, welcomed President Volodymyr Zelensky, 42, and his wife Olena, also 42, to Buckingham Palace, sitting down to enjoy a conversation.

It is the first royal event to take place at the Queen’s London residency since the start of lockdown back in March.

William and Kate and Volodymyr and Olena abided by social distancing guidelines for the meeting but did not wear face coverings for their appointment.

They did not shake hands with their guests, but did stand up to meet their visitors, ensuring they kept a safe distance from them.

Kate looked stunning in a blue dress with a fitted belt around her waist as her husband looked equally as dapper in a navy blue suit with a white shirt and a patterned tie.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge carried out the engagement on behalf of the Queen as she remains at Windsor Castle.

Prince William released previously unseen photos of his three children earlier this week on his documentary A Planet For Us All.

Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two, were seen in the programme as they enjoyed the outdoors.

In the gorgeous unseen images, future king George was seen digging up some soil as he lifted a large spade, wearing a smart green polo shirt and a pair of grey jeans.

Princess Charlotte dressed in a blue long-sleeved jumper and a blue and green tartan patterned skirt as she helped plant flowers into the ground.

Meanwhile, an adorable Prince Louis was seen playing in the sand on the beach as he carried a blue bucket, donning a blue and white striped top with matching shorts.

Viewers of the documentary quickly flocked to social media to comment on the surprise appearances of the children.

One wrote: “#PrinceGeorge #PrincessCharlotte #PrinceLouis doing their part for to help the environment [smiling hearts emoji] #APlanetForUsAll.”

A second referred to Prince Louis as a “boss baby,” whilst a third added: “Omg! Look at these precious babies!,” as the trio appeared on screens.
