Konnie Huq has taken a pop at Simon Cowell by calling her kids’ book villain after him.

The former Blue Peter host, 45, isn’t letting go the fact that former boss Simon, 60, sacked her from her presenting duties on The Xtra Factor, and has now decided to seek revenge.

Konnie’s Fearless Fairytales story sees a talent show take place, dubbed Kingdom’s Got Talent – in which a harsh critic makes an appearance on the judging panel, reports The Sun.

What’s more, Konnie even named that certain judge Simon Scowl.

Simon opted to axe Konnie from the spin-off show after she was said to have angered him with a series of blunders.

And it seems as though she’s not quite ready to let that go – despite it being nine years ago – as her book shows Scowl make consistent digs at contestant Rap-Unzel.

Rap-Unzel tells the judges her hair can’t stop growing after her mum consumed witches’ herbs.

Scowl then replied to her: “Yeah, yeah, great back-story. Would make a charming fairytale. Off you go.”

The original Rapunzel fairytale story sees a prince climb up a tower by using her long locks to get him up there.

He then frees the maiden from captivity and they live happily ever after.

But Konnie’s book takes a slightly differently approach.

Scowl tells Rap-Unzel to lose weight, get a fake tan and head to the salon to get her teeth whitened “so mine don’t look too bright”.

All this has to be done before she can go on the show.

In a letter, he adds: “Oh, and I almost forgot, you’ll have to cut off all your hair as it looks really, really stupid. Yours grouchfully, Simon Scowl.”

Konnie’s stint as Xtra Factor host was cut short after a series of unintentional clangers live on air.

One gaffe in particular that stood out to viewers saw her greet Cher Lloyd, just after she’d been voted off, with: “What a night it has been for you, a night of dreams.”
