Gwen Stefani’s youngest son, Apollo, made a rare appearance on his mum’s Instagram on Thursday and he is absolutely adorable.

The sweet six-year-old posed with his famous mother for the photo which was taken using a heart filter.

Gwen, 50, was leaning in close for the selfie and Apollo flashed a smile as he gently twiddled his mum’s hair.

Apollo looked a lot like Gwen in the Instagram story, but the resemblance to his dad Gavin Rossdale was clear too

Gwen shares her three sons, Kingston, 14, Zuma, twelve, and Apollo, with her ex-husband and successfully co-parents the boys with him.

Gwen and her boyfriend, Blake Shelton, 44, have spent much of the COVID-19 lockdown with her children at their Oklahoma ranch.

But they have now returned back to Los Angeles, which means it will be easier for the boys to see their dad, who also lives there.

Gwen and Gavin’s offspring have a fantastic bond with Blake but also maintain a strong relationship with their Bush frontman dad.

During a Q&A on Instagram Kingston asked what it was like to have a rockstar as a father and he said: “Could not ask for a better dad. I love him so much.”

Gavin took a screenshot of the comment and reposted it to his Instagram account, and wrote: “My work here is done,” followed up with a heart emoji.

When he couldn’t be with them due to travel restrictions during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic he revealed in an interview with Trunk Nation: “I miss them and they should be back. I haven’t had them for ten days, eleven days and that’s a long time.

“Normally I have them every five days. At first, it was like, cool, you can be super selfish, play that guitar more. But now, I’m like, I kind of prefer it when they’re around, actually.”
