Little Mix : The Search kicked off on Saturday night to a thumbs up from fans as the girls embarked on their mission to uncover the next big thing.
But one area that’s left fans divided is the food opinions of Leigh-Anne Pinnock – specifically, a particular ingredient she adds to her spaghetti bolognese.
The star was chatting with her bandmates when she revealed that she eats a classic spag bol… with barbecue sauce.
Viewers immediately took to Twitter to process what they’d heard.
One tweeted: “Leigh i know you didn’t just say you put barbecue sauce in a spag bol.”
Another struggled to deal with the revelation, writing: “SPAG BOL WITH BARBECUE SAUCE LEIGH ANNE PINNOCK WHAT.”
A third went on a journey with the recipe, initially scolding: “I mean. Barbecue sauce on spag Bol.”
After a while, they opted to try it themselves, before concluding: “OMG YALL. YOU NEED TO TRY SPAG BOL AND BARBECUE SAUCE RIGHT NOW. I LITERALLY JUST HAD IT AND IT IS BANGING. HONESTLY WHERE HAS IT BEEN ALL MY LIFE.”
After Jade Thirlwall recoiled in horror, a fourth laughed: “Quite enjoying the barbecue sauce chat.”
Earlier in the show, Leigh-Anne was left in tears when auditioning for a mixed-gender band.
22-year-old Jordan, who belted out Lizzo’s Good As Hell, brought Leigh-Anne to tears as he told his friends had told him to give up on his pop star dreams.
Jade, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson all told Jordan to ignore the naysayers.
But it especially resonated with Leigh-Anne, who gave him a hug and told him: “So many people in my hometown said that I couldn’t do it, didn’t believe in me, said I wasn’t good enough, and I never ever listened.
“I’ve got ‘believe’ tattooed on my neck, and I kept believing, and now I’m here.
“I don’t want to get upset but I swear you’re so good, and you’re gonna do so well, and I’m really happy you came here today.”
Meanwhile, dishy contestant Adam caused a Twitter storm with his cheeky flirting and smooth compliments to the girls.
