Cardi B has filed for divorce from her husband Offset after three years of marriage, according to reports.

The WAP rapper is said to have filed the court documents in Georgia, claiming she is seeking a dissolution of marriage, on Tuesday 15 September.

According to the documents, obtained by TMZ, 27 year old Cardi B is also seeking full custody of their two year old daughter Kulture and is requesting that 28 year old Migos member Offset pay child support.

However, TMz later reported Cardi will amend the documents to seek joint custody with her rapper husband and will not be seeking child support, either.

Cardi also reportedly wishes for Offset to pay for her legal expenses and has asked for “an equitable division of all marital assets”.

Kodak Yellow rapper Cardi also reportedly made it clear she and Offset are already separated in the documents and said “there are no prospects for a reconciliation”.

Sources have told People that Offset’s infidelity is the reason behind the split.

The insider explained: “Offset has pretty much cheated the entire time [they’ve been together], but Cardi looked the other way because of the baby.

“She also didn’t want to be embarrassed. But she’s had enough.”

Cardi and Offset married in a secret ceremony on 2017 but did not announce they had tied the knot until months later.

Offset appeared to confirm his marriage as he picked up a BET Award with his band in 2017 and said in his brief speech: “Thank God, I thank my wife, you should thank yours.”

The couple then welcomed their daughter Kulture together in July 2018, but months later reports came out that Offset had been unfaithful.

Cardi reportedly planned to file for divorce at the time but Offset made every effort to get his wife to forgive him.

He posted a video on his Instagram on his birthday, during which he said: “I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back, Cardi.

“We’re going through a lot of things right now, a lot of things in the media. I want to apologize to you Cardi. You know, I embarrassed you. I made you look crazy.

“Doing things I had no business partaking in and I apologise for breaking your heart, breaking our promise and being a selfish, messed up husband.”

He added: “I’m trying to be a better person.”

Offset ended his video with: “I apologise to you Cardi, I love you. Kulture and I wanna spend Christmas with you. I wanna be able to spend the rest of my life with you.”
