The great respected Professor in Nigeria, Africa, Professor Wole Soyinka, has reacted to the cancellation of WASSCE examination by Federal government regarding the high spread of Covid-19 in the country.

“Examination cannot hold because Coronavirus is a grave danger to students but elections can hold because it is an agenda to politicians. Nothing seems to be right under Buhari”, he stated.

Social media became more hotter has the great Nigerian Playwrite spoke over the examination cancellation.

Meanwhile, many Nigerian Activists have lamented that if WASSCE examination should be cancelled, election in some states should be the same as WASSCE, added that crowd will converge at the voting centre to vote their favourite candidate.

However, Nigerians celebrate Professor Wole Soyinka as he turns 86years today, July 13th.

“June 4, 2005, Thousands of activists rallied in Lagos to end corruption, tribal and religious violence in Nigeria. This was backed by the highly respected and loved 1986 Nobel prize-winning author Wole Soyinka, the first African to be honoured in this category”, tweets read.

Professor Wole Soyinka born on July 13th as Akinwande Oluwole Babatunde Soyinka, the most recognised Professor in the country. He was educated in England.

In 1986, the playwright and political activist became the first African to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature.

He has taught in various Universities in the United States and in the United Kingdom.

Regarding to one of his quotes, he said “The greatest threat to freedom is the absence of criticism”.
