Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states recorded 429 cases of coronavirus on Thursday
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known while announcing new cases of coronavirus in the country.
According to the NCDC, 681 infections were recorded in Nigeria, which is the highest single-day cases reported in the country – surpassing the 553 cases announced on May 30.
While Lagos recorded 345 cases, Ogun had 48 infections and 36 people also tested positive for COVID-19 in Oyo.
The NCDC said, “On the 11th of June 2020, 681 new confirmed cases and 5 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

“No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
“Till date, 14,554 cases have been confirmed, 4,494 cases have been discharged and 387 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory
“The 681 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos(345), Rivers(51), Ogun(48), Gombe(47), Oyo(36), Imo(31), Delta(28), Kano(23), Bauchi(18), Edo(12), Katsina(12), Kaduna(9), Anambra( 7), Jigawa(5), Kebbi(4), Ondo(4), and Nasarawa(1).”
The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lagos are 6,611. Of these, 5,532 are active cases, 997 have recovered and 82 dead.
In Ogun, the total confirmed cases are 523, out of which 296 are active cases, 214 have recovered and 13 are dead.
Also, 434 have tested positive for the virus in Oyo. 309 of these are active cases, seven are dead and 118 have recovered.
Lagos has a fatality rate of 1.24 per cent; Ogun, 2.49 per cent and Oyo, 1.61 per cent.
