Amanda Holden has been slammed by a This Morning guest presenter, who has called for the controlling TV judge to be sacked.
Sophie Prescott, who hosts a craft segment on the ITV chat show, has leapt to Phillip Schofield’s defence after the feud between him and Amanda heated up.
She appeared on This Morning last October for a Halloween segment and claimed she found Amanda, 48, difficult to work with.
Sophie said: “Amanda was all ‘me, me, me’. I put on a brave happy face doing the show but Amanda was very off-putting during my live appearance, kept asking questions, kept interfering and I felt she was a very controlling person.
“You’d think she owned the show the way she carried on and I never liked her from that moment on.
Heart FM breakfast DJ Amanda reportedly took her concerns to ITV boss Kevin Lygo, with a former daytime TV executive revealing that Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced.
This was despite it being alleged that Amanda had been told in private that she’d got the gig.
Sophie, who has made 24 appearances on the show, feels Amanda should be reprimanded at This Morning or fired from ITV all together.
She continued: Amanda Holden is being thoroughly unprofessional in her behaviour to a fellow ITV family member and should keep her opinions to herself and not publicise them in this way, bringing unwanted bad publicity to the ITV network. Whatever beef she has with Philip should be dealt with behind close doors.
