There has been another assassination recorded yet again, it seems like these kind of killings have been on the increase within the political/business space in the country.
The latest being that of Eng Kingsley Otokhine, who hailed from Okpoji in Esan Central L.G.A in Edo state.
The latest victim was only 42 years, the prime of his life when he met his untimely death.
It was a sad evening when the neighbors of Engr Kingsley had expected his presence at a meeting he had jointly scheduled to hold with residents in the compound he lived at No 2 road 2, Close to Sunview estate, Opposite Crown Estate, Sangotedo Lagos, but he never showed up.
This led to the neighbors paying him a visit but on getting to his house found no sign of lights on in the building, except the indicator light from Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), even though his vehicle was parked outside, and discovered that there had been a brake into his apartment through the kitchen window, at that point the authorities were called upon to force the entrance door open, only for them to discover his lifeless body on his sofa in his living room.
It is sad that people for whatever reason or affiliation would connive to take a life that you have no ability to create.
Reports gathered from the neighbors has it that there were ropes and wires left at the scene by his assailants, which suggest he was strangulated, but we still do not have a hold on the autopsy report at the time of filing this report, as his relatives still seemed to be devastated by the news of his demise and refused to speak to our correspondent.
The PRO of the Ajiwe police station also declined commenting to our correspondent.
A police man who spoke to us on condition of anonymity said, it was a clear case of assassination but the case was still under investigation.
