Lorenzo Insigne’s father insists his son his happy at Napoli amid rumors of a potential move to Manchester United.

The 27-year-old attacker has scored 76 goals in 297 appearances for Napoli since his first-team debut back in 2010 and was made club captain upon Marek Hamsik’s departure last month.

Gazzetta dello Sport even claim that Insigne’s agent, Mino Raiola, has been in talks with United officials over a big-money move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

Asked about the recent speculation his father, Carmine Insigne, told napolinagazine.com: ‘Lorenzo is doing very well in Naples and does not intend to go anywhere else. ‘The captain’s armband is a source of great pride for him and for our entire family.

Rumors about the interests of other European teams? We do not know anything about it. Lorenzo is proud to play in Naples. He has realised a dream and hopes to win the Europa League this season, like the rest of the team. The future of my son is blue, and the support of the fans is always a pleasure.
