It has been claimed that Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants German football star Mesut Ozil to leave the Premier League giants before the January transfer window closes.
The Gunners want to sell the former Real Madrid star so as to raise funds to bring in Barcelona star Denis Suarez to the Emirates stadium.
Mesut Ozil who is the Gunners’ highest-paid player on around £350,000-per-week was left out of the team that lost against West Ham United in their last Premier League encounter.
The 30-year-old has made just one assist in the Premier League this season and Unai Emery wants him to leave the club this month.
This term, Mesut Ozil has played 16 games for Arsenal in all competitions scoring four goals and two assists for the North London club.

German football club Schalke reportedly confirmed their interest in the signing of Mesut Ozil from Premier League club Arsenal. The former Real Madrid star came through Schalke’s youth system more than a decade ago before becoming a first-team star for the German outfit. Schalke want the midfielder to return to Germany amid speculations over his future at Premier League side Arsenal.
