Ahead of the 2019 general election, Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, Osun State governor, has promised to work towards bringing back into the fold all those that defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) before the September 22, 2018 governorship election.

Governor Oyetola who gave the promise at weekend during the annual Iwude Cultural Festival held in Ilesa said that he has commenced efforts to ensure that all of them were brought back into the party.

The governor who assured to run an all-inclusive administration also called on the people of the state to vote for APC candidates in the February 16 and March 2, 2019 general elections to complement his election.

He explained that all ongoing infrastructural projects across the state especially the Ilesa water project would be completed by his administration.

Oyetola who was the chief guest of honour, promised that work would continue non-stop in the Ilesa water project and the roads under construction.

He told the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran and others work would not stop in the projects.

Oyetola prayed for long life for Owa Obokun of Ijesa land, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran.

While responding, the monarch prayed for a successful tenure for the governor and urged him to transform the Osun State College of Education to a university.

Oba Aromolaran expressed happiness that the Wesley Guild Hospital in Ilesa would soon become a Federal Medical Centre.

He urged governments at all levels to take job creation seriously so that the teeming youths would have where to work.

Immediate past Governor Rauf Aregbesola, an Indigene of Ilesa, who was warmly received at the event, promised to remain committed to the service of the people.

He also urged them to vote for APC candidates from President Muhammadu Buhari to the other candidates.

The event which witnessed cultural display, music and dance, was attended by Deputy Governor Benedict Alabi, House of Assembly Speaker Najeem Salaam, Head of Service, Oyebade Olowogboyega; Lagos West Senator Olamilekan Adeola, State APC Chairman, Gboyega Famodun-led some party leaders, among others.
