The governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in Ogun State, Engr. Oluseyi Olufade, has promised to create 10,000 direct jobs within the first six months of his administration if voted into power.
The 39-year-old graduate of Electronics and Electrical Engineering of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology University of Technology (LAUTECH), noted that AD is the only party in the country with pure progressive ideology.
He stated in an interactive session with the press that what the people of the state could remember was the fact that so many developments were brought about by AD government.
Olufade, therefore, promised to do more for the people in all areas, insisting that infrastructural development must be on needs basis.
He expressed confidence that his party would be victorious in the elections leveraging on the youth population while appealing to the people of the state to vote to give the Ogun West senatorial district the chance to produce the next governor.
The Ilaro -born said he was not in the race for negotiation purpose saying he is working based on the structure on the ground and that only hybrid structure would win the 2019 election.
“One thing I know for sure is 2019 is going to be different. It’s not about the person that goes first or the person that is making noise first. We are going to leverage on the youth population for the elections.
“I have the energy, network, contact, competency and capacity to deliver good governance. I’m not going to be an appendage or extension of someone’s government. But we are going to respect everybody.
“We are going to return autonomy to our local governments. The local governments are the closest to the people. We are going to strengthen them for the delivery of democracy dividends.”
