Nigeria may host Libya in Uyo as the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has informed CAF that they wish to have a change of date for the AFCON 2019 qualifier against the North African country.
Nigerian Pilot Sports gathered that the general secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has communicated CAF of their desire to move the match originally fixed for Friday October 12 to Saturday October 13 in Nigeria with the reverse tie in Tunisia a few days later.
According to source, NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi said, “As the home team, we want the game to be played on Saturday, October 13 and we have communicated this to CAF.”
Super Eagles spokesman, Toyin Ibitoye has hinted that Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo may likely host the Libya match ahead of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
Already, top Super Eagles players are battle ready for the crucial tie against Libya.
Mainz 05 forward Anthony Ujah may have been recalled to the senior national team of Nigeria for the back to back AFCON 2019 Qualifiers games against Libya, Nigerian Pilot Sports gathered.
