A TV show focused on the life of American showbiz personality and rapper, Dr Dre has been reportedly dropped by Apple boss Tim Cook, due to its heavy focus on violence, sex and drug use.

Wall Street Journal reports that “Vital Signs” was deemed inappropriate for Apple’s audience as it featured “characters doing lines of cocaine, an extended orgy in a mansion and drawn guns”.

The show marks the second time that the producer’s life has been dramatized, after the 2015 NWA biopic ‘Straight Outta Compton’.

“Vital Signs” is a semi-autobiographical six-episode show with a cast including Sam Rockwell, Michael K. Williams, and Ian McShane
