The shocking clip shows the volatile divorcee screaming ‘shut up!’ at Klein in a thick French accent then grabbing a tray and chasing him down the hallway of their Manhattan apartment.

Switching to her native French, the Swiss-born Wildenstein shrieks ‘I hate you, your mother is a bitch’ before landing two blows with the metal ornament.

Klein, 49, who has designed clothes for A-list celebs including Nicki Minaj, Pink and Joan Collins, is not seen in the footage but he can be overheard begging her to calm down.

‘I don’t touch you, you don’t touch me, you stop it,’ he begs Wildenstein, his partner of 13-years, to no avail.

The date of the video cannot be verified and it’s not clear what prompted the argument.

However friends of the glamorous couple say these sorts of outbursts are a regular occurrence.

‘This sort of behavior is not exactly rare,’ said one. ‘Jocelyn’s temper is almost as notorious as her love of plastic surgery. You have to admire Lloyd’s restraint but he would never hit a woman.’

Wildenstein covered her face as she was escorted out of Manhattan Criminal Court after her arraignment

DailyMail.com has also learned that one source of tension between the two is Klein’s use of social media.

‘Lloyd is in fashion, he’s a top designer and naturally his social media features many innocent photos of models,’ said a source.

‘But Jocelyn doesn’t understand what a Facebook account is or what Instagram is for.

‘She sees the pretty girls and assumes it’s some sort of dating site. Then all hell breaks loose.’

The couple’s turbulent relationship hit the headlines Wednesday when Jocelyn was arrested for attacking Klein at their $5million Trump World Tower apartment in central Manhattan.

Sources say she threw hot wax over Klein and scratched his face with her manicured nails before stabbing at his chest with a pair of scissors.

Canadian-born Klein, whose brother is the world-renowned artist Jean-Yves Klein, was forced to bundle Wildenstein into a walk-in closet to bring the attack to a halt.

Wildenstein called the cops herself to say she was locked up against her will but officers took one look at her partner’s bloodied face and chest and booked her on felony and misdemeanor assault charges.

She was later arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court and released without bail.

Wildenstein is best known for her surgically-altered look but she also landed the largest divorce settlement in history in 1999 when she was awarded $2.5billion and an additional $100million a year for 13 years after splitting from her late husband, Alec Wildenstein.

A source said Wildenstein screamed at him to get off the computer and then threw hot wax all over Klein from a lit candle before scratching him with her nails

Alec, who married Liouba Stoupakova in 2000, passed away in 2008 of prostate cancer.

Wildenstein detailed her wild spending and acrimonious separation in a 1998 interview with Vanity Fair.

She recounted dropping $350,000 on a Chanel dress, building a $3million mansion for her daughter on the family’s Kenyan reserve Ol Jogi for her 17th birthday and the many plastic surgeries.

‘She was crazy. I would always find out last. She was thinking that she could fix her face like a piece of furniture. Skin does not work that way. But she wouldn’t listen,’ said Alec at the time.

Things got so bad between the two during the separation that Alec’s father Daniel had Jocelyn banned from the family properties – a New York town house, their Paris chateau (the largest private residence in the city at the time), the 66,000-acre Ol Jogi ranch, and the private compound in the British Virgin Islands.

At the same time her credit cards were cut off and had her monthly allowance lowered to just $50,000, which her lawyers fought in court.

That all changed however with her massive settlement in 1999, which has allowed her to live comfortably ever since.

Wildenstein was born and raised in Switzerland and, according to Alec, had dated some very high-profile men before him, including the European filmmaker Sergio Gobbi, Cyril Piguet, and Saudi arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi.

The pair eloped to Las Vegas in 1978, and one year later they both went in for their first plastic surgery operation – his-and-hers eye lifts.

‘I don’t think I’ve known her when she wasn’t healing from something,’ said a friend of Jocelyn in 1998.

Her looks then became more and more feline, though Jocelyn said the resemblance was always there.

‘If I show you pictures of my grandmother, what you see is these eyes – cat eyes – and high cheekbones,’ she said.

‘I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, and other than tightening up my appearance never change,’ said Wildenstein in a 1999 interview with New York.
